Because Life is Best Lived Outdoors

Nature-Based dog training

built for real-life so you can get out together and live your best life.

We believe that giving dogs the freedom to simply be dogs- to explore, sniff, and experience the world in safe, healthy ways - is essential to their wellbeing

This allows our dogs to better navigate this busy human world, avoiding those behaviors that drive you nuts.

Our philosophy is based in the sciences of ethology and behavior modification, using methods proven to be the most humane, effective, and long lasting. We train without the use of harsh or intimidating tools and corrections.

Instead, we focus on understanding how dogs learn and communicate, building a relationship, working with their natural drives, and teaching them new behaviors in a fun and rewarding way!

Each dog is unique and training is never a one-size-fits-all fix. We tailor training to work with your dog’s unique motivators and learning style to ensure you get results you AND your dog love.

We follow the CCPDT’s Code of Ethics, which ensures that all dogs (and people!) under our care are treated with respect and kindness.

Training philosophy

“In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn’t merely try to train him to be semi human. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog.”  – Edward Hoagland
